From sculptures and ceramics to tapestry, collage and paintings, these artists represent the rich cultural heritage and contemporary dynamism of their respective art. “Five Gals” aims to highlight the diversity and creativity of these artists, with a focus on women artists works only. Both galleries carefully selected established and emerging artists, with who they are respectively working with, and who have made a significant impact on the art scene or commissions in the past years. They create their artworks in the past for their own studio production, exploring their environment, their own world and the connection between their individual backgrounds and identity.

This group show marks the first time to mix and present such diverse women artists artworks, making it a remarkable moment for both the artists and the galleries. Indeed, inviting these five artists from different generations, backgrounds and mediums has been challenging to find balance. The journey to bring “Five Gals” to fruition involved research, travel, and collaboration to curate an exceptional collection of twenty-five artworks.
