A multimedia artist popularly known as Frog King, Kwok was born in Guangdong, China, in 1947,and he grew up in Hong Kong. After graduating from Fine Art courses at the Grantham College of Education in Hong Kong in 1970 he undertook Extra-Mural Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The University of Hong Kong. From 1980 to 1984, he studied at the Art Students League in New York, a city where he experienced ‘Art Life’ for 15 years before returning to Hong Kong in1995.Since Kwok married with Korean Artist Cho HyunJae (a.k.a.Frog Queen) 1997, produced many art projects in collaboration with her.

In over 45years, Kwok has produced numerous conceptual works -performances, installations sculptures, paintings,and photography -at more than 3,000 art events all over the world since 1967, including Hong Kong, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Macau, Melbourne, Toronto, Berlin,Dusseldorf,Louisiana in Denmark, London, New York, Paris,Brussels,Seoul,Busan, Taiwan,Singapore,and Tokyoetc.Kwok received Urban Council Fine Arts Awards for Sculpture and Mixed Media in 1975 and 1998 respectively, the Yomoma Arts Group Award for The Best Community in Arts Service from City Hall NewYork 1987, Hong Kong Arts Development Council Emeritus Fellowship in 1998, and Documentaries of Chinese Performance Art from Macao Museum of Art in 2005. His works are in many local and overseas museums and private collections.
